Christmas Tree ooooh Christmas Tree

Yesterday was the lighting ceremony for the Christmas Tree in Empire Plaza.  Sadly, I wasn't able to make it to see the lighting itself, or the fireworks, but I did go down later on.  I felt like a little kid.  I was spectacularly giddy!  The plaza had a glow about it and a subtle romance... I do LOVE romantic comedies, but I think the ones that are based around the holiday season are in a league of their own- Love Actually and The Holiday- two examples that I think prove my point!  After seeing the tree and freezing our arses off, Jenna, her good friend Nick and myself went for Hot Chocolate to help us defrost.  The coffee shop had a nice selection of card and board games, so in proper adult fashion, we chose UNO!  Aren't these the moments that add to the JOY of the holidays?!
Thank you Nick.
The Chocolat Chaud was so delicious!

I don't have any personal Holiday traditions... but I think this was a good place to start!

What are your favorite aspects of the holidays?  What are your traditions?!

  1. gorgeous, i'm jealous. i want a beautiful, illuminated plaza to wander through when the holidays hit! sounds like a lovely evening.

my christmas traditions are plentiful! we have a big christmas eve party at my family home every year, my boyfriend and i buy a new ornament for our tree every season, and i always have to get eggnog and gingerbread lattes when i go christmas shopping! oh, and 'bridget jones' diary' is another favorite holiday movie, even though only part of it is around christmas time :)
